First of all... I average around 125 Brazilian waxes every week, and I've been doing this for over 20 years.
Second... I'm a woman in my forties. I've given birth, and my body has changed many times over the years. Trust me, I've seen and experienced a lot.
The truth is, hemorrhoids are incredibly common. I've seen them in all shapes and sizes, and they don't faze me one bit.
More importantly, I want you to be comfortable. If you're having a flare-up or your hemorrhoids are feeling sensitive, we have options. We can skip the back altogether, or I can be extra gentle and carefully work around them. It's completely up to you.
I never want someone to avoid getting waxed because they're embarrassed by something so many women experience. My goal isn't to judge your body. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, cared for, and a little more confident when you walk out the door.
So if you've been stressing about this... take a deep breath. You're in good company, and you're in good hands. ❤️
Yes, I just said that. It will moisturize your most sensitive areas and create a nice little barrier for your skin making your wax much more comfortable. Not every wax technician uses the type of wax I use so make sure to ask them before you go oiling up your bits.
I think every first-time Brazilian client walks in dreading this part.
And almost every single one says the exact same thing afterward...
"Oh my gosh! That was the easiest part!"
Seriously. Not only is it usually the easiest part of the appointment, it ends up being a lot of people's favorite part.
But here's the deal...
This is YOUR appointment.
If you're not ready for that part yet, just tell me. We can absolutely skip it. No guilt. No pressure. We go at your pace.
I keep a bottle of wax oil here in the restroom. Before your appointment, you're welcome to use a little toilet paper to apply a small amount to your labia and... your booty hole. Yes.. I just said that.
It helps moisturize your most sensitive areas and creates a light barrier on the skin, which can make your wax much more comfortable.
One important note: Not every wax technician uses the same type of wax I do, and some waxes don't play nicely with oils. If you're seeing someone else, always ask before oiling up your bits.

I'm a mom in her forties.
There was also a season in my thirties when I gained about 40 pounds, and I was so hard on myself. I remember picking apart every little thing about my body. Being a woman can be hard and after more than 20 years of waxing, I can promise you this: there isn't one "normal" body. I've seen women of every age, every size, every shape, and every stage of life.
If you've had babies, let me just say this...
Your body isn't "ruined." It has carried life, healed, stretched, changed, and kept showing up every single day.
That deserves a whole lot more grace than most of us give ourselves. I have a soft spot for moms because so many of us spend years taking care of everyone else and forget to do something kind for ourselves. Sometimes a Brazilian wax isn't just about hair. It's about walking out feeling a little more put together, a little more confident, and remembering that you're worth taking care of too.
This is a judgment-free zone.
I promise I'm not looking at your stretch marks, your scars, your skin, or wondering if you "look normal."
I'm thinking about one thing... How can I help you leave feeling better than when you walked in?
So take a deep breath, you're in good hands. ❤️
This is actually a great question!
For most wax technicians, a Brazilian wax works best when your hair is about 1/4 inch long, which is usually around two weeks of growth after shaving.
If it's much shorter than that, the wax may not be able to grab every hair.
But what if you haven't shaved in months and you're convinced that your bikini area looks like Chewbacca has been living rent-free in your underwear?
First of all...
You're probably not the hairiest person I've seen...
Second, I would much rather your hair be too long than too short.
If it's especially long, you can absolutely trim it a little before your appointment, but don't get carried away. I can comfortably work with hair that's about an inch long, and if I need to do a little trimming before we get started, that's no big deal.
Please don't shave "just to help me out." Trust me... you're helping me a whole lot more by leaving it alone.
So if you've been putting off your appointment because you think your hair is "too much," don't.
After more than 20 years and thousands upon thousands of Brazilian waxes, your jungle isn't going to scare me.
Absolutely.
In fact, I always schedule a little extra time for first-time Brazilian clients because I never want you to feel rushed.
Here's how we do it.
Step 1: We start with one strip. Just one.
That way you can see what it actually feels like.
If your reaction is... "THAT'S A BIG NOPE!" No hard feelings. We stop right there, and you walk out free of charge.
Want to know how many people have taken me up on that offer?
Zero.
Step 2: We start with a bikini wax.
We begin on the outside and gradually work our way in. It gives you time to relax, get comfortable, and realize your imagination was probably much scarier than the wax appointment itself.
Step 3: We check in.
I'll ask how you're doing throughout the appointment. If you're feeling good, we'll keep going until your Brazilian is complete.
If you're uncomfortable for any reason, we stop. You are never trapped on my table. And don't worry... I won't leave you with a lopsided bikini wax. 😄
We'll simply finish what we've started so everything looks nice and even. I've had plenty of women stop after a bikini wax and come back the next month feeling much braver.
One last thing...
The first wax is almost always the hardest. As your hair grows back softer and finer, each appointment usually becomes easier and more comfortable.
We'll take it one appointment at a time.
